Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Delhi to Manali overnight Volvo
Report to the Delhi boarding point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure and board the overnight Volvo/shared transfer to Manali. Confirm the exact stop and seat details before travel; highway meals and refreshments are self-paid.

Day 2Manali arrival and briefing
Arrive in Manali after the overnight ride, transfer to the hotel/guesthouse and rest. Keep the day light for acclimatization, explore nearby at leisure and meet the trip captain for introductions, route details and a safety briefing.

Day 3Manali to Purne via Shinku La
Start early in a shared SUV or Tempo Traveller. Cross Atal Tunnel, pass Sissu and Darcha, then continue over Shinku La toward Gonbo Rangjon and the Purne/Kargyak side. This is a long high-altitude drive on rough roads; the route and night stop can change with weather, access and local instructions.

Day 4Phugtal Monastery and Padum
Travel from Purne/Kargyak toward the last motorable point and walk on mountain trails to Phugtal Monastery in Lungnak Valley. Allow around 1–2 hours for the walk, depending on conditions and pace. After the visit continue by vehicle to Padum; carry water and suitable footwear.

Day 5Pensi La and Drang Drung Glacier
Set out from Padum for a condition-based excursion toward Pensi La and Drang Drung Glacier. Snow, weather, road status and local access determine how far the vehicle can travel. Return to Padum for dinner and a second night.

Day 6Padum sightseeing to Jispa
Explore Padum-area sights as time permits; options may include Karsha and Stongdey monasteries, Zangla Palace, Sani, Rangdum side or Sheela Waterfall. Later make the long shared drive back over Shinku La toward Jispa/Keylong. Sightseeing and overnight stop depend on road and weather.

Padum-area monasteries and sights selected by time and access
Day 7Jispa to Manali and Volvo to Delhi
Drive from Jispa toward Manali via Baralacha La, Suraj Tal and Deepak Tal when conditions and timing permit. Reach Manali and board the overnight Volvo/shared transfer to Delhi. Road delays are possible, so keep a buffer before onward connections.

Day 8Arrive in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi after the overnight journey from Manali. The group expedition ends on arrival. Allow extra time before onward travel because high-mountain road conditions and bus schedules can cause delays.
