Privacy Policy

Planning a trip involves personal information. We use the details you share to help you find trips, contact operators and manage bookings. We also collect usage and analytics data to improve the service and measure our marketing. This policy explains both.

1. Who handles your information

TripzSearch is operated by TRIPZSEARCH PRIVATE LIMITED. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse our website, create an account, plan a trip, contact an operator, book through TripzSearch or ask us for support.

Tour operators and third-party services also handle information under their own policies. We explain the main situations where information is shared below.

2. Information you share with us

  • Account and profile: your name, email address, phone number, sign-in provider and account identifier. A Google or Facebook sign-in may supply your name, email and profile image according to the permissions you grant. Optional profile details include your photo, city, age, gender and travel interests.
  • Trip plans and preferences: destinations, departure city, dates or travel month, budget, duration, group size, travel style, interests, saved trips, comparisons and operators you follow.
  • Enquiries and conversations: the trip you ask about, your contact details, traveller requirements, messages, replies, notes and feedback shared through the platform.
  • Bookings and payments: where you book through TripzSearch, traveller and booking details, amounts, transaction references, payment status, cancellation requests, refunds and dispute correspondence. Payment providers handle payment credentials through their payment flows.
  • Reviews and support: ratings, reviews, photos or other content you submit, contact-form messages, issue reports, optional page links and booking references.

Only share information about another traveller if you are authorised to do so. Do not include passwords, payment PINs, OTPs or full card details in messages, reviews or support forms. If an operator needs identity, visa, health or accessibility information for a particular trip, check why it is needed and use the collection method specified for that booking.

3. Analytics, device data and advertising

We record events that help us understand how people find and use TripzSearch. Examples include pages and trips viewed, searches and filters, comparison and wishlist actions, operator contact clicks, enquiry steps, sign-in events, reviews submitted and interactions with page sections or controls.

Events may include a timestamp, page address, referring page, trip or operator identifier, campaign information, session identifiers, device type, browser details and IP address. We also use a browser identifier derived from details such as browser version, language, screen size and time zone, and stored on your device. These identifiers can distinguish visits; they should not be treated as completely anonymous.

We use our own analytics and, when enabled, Google Analytics to measure usage, identify errors, understand drop-off and improve discovery. When enabled, Meta Pixel and server-side conversion measurement help measure advertising and enquiries. Meta measurement may include events, IP address, browser and advertising identifiers, and hashed contact or account identifiers. Hashing changes the format of an identifier; it does not make it anonymous.

Our account setting for personalised recommendations controls whether certain internal activity records are linked to your signed-in profile. It does not switch off all session analytics, Google Analytics or Meta measurement. See Your choices and data requests for the controls available to you.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies, local storage and session storage to keep you signed in, connect enquiries to your account, remember saved trips and preferences, support security, and measure how the service is used.

  • Service and security: sign-in sessions, enquiry continuity and anti-abuse checks. Sign-in and form-protection providers may also process device and network information.
  • Preferences: saved trips, planning choices and other settings stored on your device or, when signed in, in your account.
  • Measurement: session and browser identifiers, referral and campaign attribution, and cookies used by enabled analytics or advertising providers.

Some storage lasts for a browsing session; other values remain until they expire or you clear them. Our referral and campaign cookies are configured for 30 days. Clearing browser storage does not delete records already held in your account or our systems.

5. Why we use this information

  • Provide your account, saved trips, comparisons and personalised trip suggestions.
  • Pass your enquiry to the relevant operator and help you manage trip conversations.
  • Process and support bookings made through TripzSearch, including payment questions, refunds and disputes.
  • Send service messages about your enquiries, bookings, account or support requests, and manage communication preferences.
  • Understand trip demand and campaign performance, improve usability and diagnose errors.
  • Prevent spam, fraud and misuse, maintain records, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations.

The information needed depends on the feature you choose. You can browse without creating an account, but enquiries, bookings and account features may require contact or traveller details.

6. Who receives information

  • Tour operators: the operator handling your enquiry or booking receives the contact, trip and traveller information needed to respond or deliver the trip. Operators may use their own booking and communication systems.
  • Service providers: providers supporting authentication, hosting, storage, communications, security, analytics and payments process information needed for those services. These include Firebase for sign-in and storage, and Google or Meta measurement where enabled.
  • Other travellers: reviews and public contributions may display your name, profile image and the content you choose to publish. Trip-interest features may show limited profile details to other visitors.
  • Legal and business needs: information may be disclosed where required by law, to investigate fraud or protect rights, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate protections.

Advertising and analytics providers may combine information received from our services with information from other services under their own policies. An external operator website or payment page is governed by that provider’s privacy notice as well as any applicable booking terms.

7. Retention, storage and security

Retention depends on the record and its purpose. Account, enquiry and support records may be needed to provide the service and resolve requests. Booking, payment and dispute records may need to be retained for accounting, fraud prevention and legal requirements, including after an account is closed.

Information may be processed in India and other countries where our providers operate. We use access controls, authenticated services and security measures intended to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

You can ask us to delete information that is no longer needed. Some records may need to be retained or restricted instead of deleted because of legal obligations, active disputes or security needs. We will explain relevant limitations when responding to a request.

8. Your choices and data requests

  • Account settings: visit your profile to update available profile details and email, WhatsApp and personalised-recommendation preferences.
  • Browser controls: block or clear cookies and site storage through your browser. This may sign you out or remove saved preferences. Browser controls do not necessarily stop server-side processing.
  • Provider controls: review the privacy and advertising settings provided by Google and Meta for their services.
  • Contact us: request access, correction, deletion or account closure, raise a privacy concern, or ask to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Additional rights may apply under the law relevant to your request.

Email contact@tripzsearch.com with the subject “Privacy request” and enough information to identify your account or enquiry. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Do not send identity documents unless we ask for a secure verification method.

Withdrawing permission may affect features that depend on that information. Necessary booking, security or legal records may still be processed. A notification preference does not prevent essential messages about an active transaction or account security.

9. Children and young travellers

Adults should manage bookings and enquiries involving travellers under 18. If information about a child is needed for a trip, a parent or lawful guardian should provide it through the appropriate booking channel and give any consent required by law.

If you believe a child has shared information with us without appropriate authority, contact us so we can review it and take the necessary steps.

10. Updates and privacy contact

We may update this policy as our services or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes and any new consent requests will be communicated as required by applicable law.

For privacy questions, data requests or complaints, contact our team using the details below. We will route your request to the person responsible for handling it.
