Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Depart Delhi or Chandigarh around 20:00–21:00 by Volvo, shared transfer or private vehicle for the overnight journey to Manali. Manali-start guests begin on Day 2
Day 2Arrive in Manali and rest or explore Hadimba Temple, Old Manali, Vashisht or Mall Road. Attend the evening briefing on the route, vehicle, luggage and safety; overnight in Manali.
Day 3Drive from Manali through Atal Tunnel, Sissu, Keylong, Jispa and Darcha. Cross Shinku La into Zanskar, stop at Gonbo Rangjon and overnight near Purne or Kargyak.
Day 4Drive to the Phugtal trailhead, hike 1–2 hours to the cave monastery, explore and walk back. Continue by 4x4 to Padum for dinner and overnight.
Day 5Explore Padum, then drive to Pensi La for Drang Drung Glacier views if the road is open. Visit Rangdum or Sani if time allows; return to Padum for a second overnight.
Day 6Visit Karsha, Stongdey, Zangla Palace, Sani or Sheela Waterfall as time allows. Return by 4x4 via Shinku La and Darcha to Jispa or Keylong for dinner and overnight.
Day 7Leave Jispa early via Deepak Tal and Suraj Tal to Baralacha La when safe and accessible. Return through Atal Tunnel to Manali; continue overnight to Delhi or Chandigarh if booked.
Day 81. Arrive in Delhi or Chandigarh, or finish in Manali according to the booked option. The Delhi return is overnight; route and Baralacha La access depend on road and weather conditions.
