Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Day 01: NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (Approx 125 Kms / 4 Hrs. 30 mints) On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station/Ixb Airport, our driver will meet and greet you and board you to the vehicle. Then you will make your way to the hotel in Gangtok. Stay overnight at Gangtok.
Day 2Day 02: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir (Approx 53 Km / 3 Hrs. one-way) Post breakfast, visit Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. / 37 km / 02 hr from Gangtok), a high altitude sacred lake. It derives its water through the melting snows of the mountains enclosing the lake. Further, you will visit New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft. / 16 km / 01 hr from Tsomgo Lake). Later you are returned to the hotel. Stay overnight at Gangtok.
Day 3Day 03: Gangtok – Lachen (Approx 120 kms / 6 hrs) Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Lachen, a tiny hamlet in North Sikkim. During your journey, from Gangtok to Lachen, you will enjoy a small break at Naga Waterfall, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall. On arrival at Lachen, you will be transferred to the hotel. Stay overnight at Lachen.
Day 4Day 04: Lachen – Chopta Valley – Gurudongmar Lake - Lachung (Approx 186 kms / 10 Hrs) Today early morning, follow the nerve wrenching hilly roads and head towards Chopta Valley, a relatively unexplored and untouched region in Northwestern region of Sikkim. After driving for a few km. from Chopta Valley, you will visit Gurudongmar Lake, which is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Sikhs. Later, continue your ride back to Lachen hotel. Post lunch (on your own cost) take the transfer to Lachung. Stay overnight at Lachung.
Day 5Day 05: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion – Gangtok (Approx 168 / 9 hrs) Early morning, drive to Yumthang Valley (12,000 ft), which is also known as the valley of flowers. On your way back to the hotel from Yumthang Valley, you will be visiting hot spring, which is believed to have some medicinal properties. Head back to the hotel. Then check out from the hotel and head towards Gangtok. On the way if the weather is clear you may get to see Mighty Khangchendzonga from Singhik viewpoint. On arrival at Gangtok, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the evening will be free for leisure. Stay overnight at Gangtok.
Day 6Day 06: Gangtok – Pelling via Namchi Chardham & Ravangla Buddha Park (Approx 165 kms / 6 hrs) Post breakfast transfer to Pelling. On your way to Pelling, you will pass through some attractions of Namchi Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham). Then visit Ravangla “Buddha Park”. On arrival at Pelling, you will check in to the hotel. Stay overnight at Pelling.
Day 7Day 07: Pelling Sightseeing Get your cameras ready as today you will be going for some Spectacular sightseeing in Pelling. In the first half visit Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake and Khangchendzonga waterfalls. In the second half of the day, you will be visiting Skywalk, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, and Bird Sanctuary. After the sightseeing tour, head back to the hotel. Stay overnight at Pelling.
Day 8Day 08: Pelling to Darjeeling (Approx 70 km / 3 hrs) Post breakfast check out from the hotel and you are transferred to Darjeeling – “The Queen of Hills”. Rest of the day is free or on your own. Stay overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 9Day 09: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing The day starts early with a visit to Tiger hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. World's third highest peak). On your way back we see Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Darjeeling covering - Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view). Rest of the day is free or on your own. Stay overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 10Darjeeling - NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (Approx 75 Kms / 3 Hrs.) Enjoy your breakfast & then check out. Drive to New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station/Ixb Airport to continue with your onward journey.
