

The Black Peak Expedition, also known as Kalanag Peak Expedition (6,387 m), is one of the most revered climbs in the Bandarpunch range of the Garhwal Himalayas. The name “Kalanag” means “Black Serpent”, inspired by the mountain’s dark, curved summit that resembles a serpent’s hood.
Day 1:Arrival at Sankri Participants arrive at Sankri village, the base point for the expedition. Meet the expedition team, complete registrations, gear check, and attend the briefing session about the tre
Day 2:After breakfast, drive from Sankri to Dhatmeer (approximately 2 hours). From Dhatmeer, begin the trek towards Seema village through beautiful Himalayan landscapes and forests. Overnight stay at Seema.
Day 3:Today the trek continues towards the stunning Ruinsara Tal, a high-altitude lake surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. The trail passes through alpine meadows and scenic valleys. Overnight stay near
Day 4:Trek from Ruinsara Tal to Base Camp at Kyar Koti. The landscape becomes more rugged and alpine as you gain altitude. This camp will be the main preparation point for the summit push.
Day 5:A rest day for acclimatization and preparation. Climbers practice technical skills, check equipment, and prepare for load ferries to higher camps.
Day 6:Team members and support staff carry essential equipment and supplies to Advanced Base Camp (ABC). After depositing loads, return to Base Camp.
Day 7:Another load ferry to Advanced Base Camp to transport remaining equipment and supplies required for the climb.
Day 8:Move completely from Base Camp to Advanced Base Camp and set up camp
Day 9:Begin establishing the route to Camp 1. Carry loads and necessary climbing equipment to higher altitude.
Day 10:Carry additional supplies and equipment to Camp 1 in preparation for higher camps.
Day 11:Rest and acclimatization day at Camp 1. Sherpa team prepares and secures the route further.
Day 12:Technical team opens the route towards Summit Camp and shifts necessary gear. Climbers remain at Camp 1 preparing for the summit push.
Day 13:Climbers move from Camp 1 to Summit Camp. Final preparation for the summit attempt takes place.
Day 14:Early morning summit push for Black Peak. After reaching the summit, descend safely back to Advanced Base Camp (ABC
Day 15:Descend from Advanced Base Camp back to Base Camp at Kyar Koti.
Day 16:A recovery day at Base Camp to relax after the summit expedition.
Day 17:Begin descent towards Devsu Bugyal, a beautiful high-altitude meadow.
Day 18:Final trek from Devsu Bugyal to Sankri. The expedition concludes here and participants depart for their onward journey
