Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Day 1: Delhi to Manali (overnight Volvo) - Board the evening AC Volvo from Delhi and travel overnight into the Kullu valley towards Manali.
Day 2Day 2: Manali to Kaza (200 km, 8-10 hrs) - Freshen up in Manali, then drive through the Atal Tunnel, Batal and over Kunzum Pass into Spiti. Overnight in Kaza.
Day 3Day 3: Kaza high village circuit (80 km) - Langza's fossils and giant Buddha, Hikkim's high-altitude post office and Komic, one of Asia's highest villages. Overnight Kaza.
Day 4Day 4: Kaza to Chandratal (110 km) - Key Monastery, Kibber village and Chicham Bridge, then back over Kunzum Pass to Chandratal Lake. Overnight in camps.
Day 5Day 5: Chandratal to Manali (170 km) - Sunrise by the lake, drive back via Batal and the Atal Tunnel to Manali, then board the overnight Volvo to Delhi.
Day 6Day 6: Arrive Delhi - Reach Delhi in the morning. Short Spiti trip ends.
