Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1Day 0: Drive from Srinagar to Aru Base Camp | 100km, 4hrs. Assemble at the meeting point in Srinagar drive towards Pahalgam in a local cab with good mountain views. After reaching Pahalgam, we will take a short drive of 3-4 hrs to Aru Valley via Bijbehara where you will experience the charismatic beauty of Kashmir. Experience lush apple, walnut and apricot orchards enroute. After crossing the Lidder River, we will reach the majestic Aru Valley. Check-in to our homestay, freshen-up and have some leisure. Feel free to take a stroll around, exploring the village. Dinner and overnight stay at Aru Valley.
Day 2Day 1: Trek from Aru to Lidderwat | 10 km, 6hrs. Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, start your trek towards Lidderwat along the pristine Lidder River. Moving forward and post climbing, you will experience a lot of huts surrounded by fir trees at Dalla. After waking for a few minutes you will reach Nandkei. From here you will witness a beautiful view of Aru Valley. Upon arrival at the campsite at Lidderwat, check-in to our camps and have some leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Lidderwat campsite.
Day 3Day 2: Trek from Lidderwat to Shekwas | 6km, 5hrs. Wake up early in the morning in the lap of nature and post breakfast, start your trek towards Shekwas passing, the trail passing through the dense pine forest. After walking for a short while through the forest, you will see grassland merged with huge mountains. Move forward and cross Bakharwal lying on the right side of the river. From Homwas, you will see various shepard (Gujjar) community huts in the middle of lush grassland. Move forward on the trail crossing a few Gujjar huts to reach Shekwas campsite. Upon arrival at the campsite at Shekwas, check-in to our camps and have some leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Shekwas campsite.
Day 4Day 3: Trek from Shekwas to Tarsar | 5km, 5hrs. Wake up early in the morning in the lap of nature and post breakfast, start your trek from Shekwas to Tarsar Lake. The trekking trail to Tarsar Lake leads through various ridges. After crossing the ridge you will witness the gorgeous view of Tarsar Lake. After crossing some beautiful views from a different ridge, you will reach a conical hill-top from where you can get a glimpse of the beautiful almond-shaped lake : Tarsar Lake. After crossing the river you will reach the grassland of Tarsar. Upon arrival at the campsite at Tarsar, check-in to our camps and have some leisure. Feel free to take a stroll around, sit beside the river and witness the breathtaking sunset. The Tarsar Lake changes its shade in turquoise blue during the night. Dinner and overnight stay at Tarsar campsite.
Day 5Day 4: Trek from Tarsar to Sundarsar | 6km, 5hrs.
Day 6Day 5: Trek from Sundersar to Homwas via Marsar | 11km, 7hrs. Wake up early in the morning in the lap of nature and post breakfast, start your trek towards Homwas via Marsar Lake. Witness the stunning view of Marsar Lake before reaching Homwas finally. Upon arrival at the campsite at Homwas, check-in to our camps and have some leisure. Feel free to take a stroll around your campsite. Dinner and overnight stay at Homwas campsite.
Day 7Day 6: Homwas to Aru & Drive to Srinagar | 13km, 7hrs. Take the same trail as you took on the first day of the trek, trek down from Homwas towards Aru and reach Lidderwat. From Lidderwat, get down further to Aru, from where you would be going by road to Srinagar in a local cab. After reaching Srinagar, trek ends with lots of amazing memories and unforgettable experiences.
