Travellers consistently praise the stunning natural beauty of the Devkund waterfall and the magical firefly experience, along with peaceful lakeside camping and thrilling rappelling. A recurring concern is that the Sandhan Valley trek can be quite challenging for beginners. This operator is best suited for adventurous travellers seeking a mix of scenic treks and camping with moderate physical activity.

I’d seen photos of the Devkund plunge pool on Instagram, but it’s a hundred times more beautiful in real life. The final reveal of the waterfall at the end of the trek is just epic. The water is pristine, crystal clear, and has a breathtaking bluish-green hue. Watching the water drop down from a massive height directly into the natural pool is completely therapeutic. It completely washes away all the exhaustion of the trail. Absolutely worth it!

The night walk into the forest to see the fireflies felt straight out of a movie. There were thousands of them glowing like fairy lights across the trees. The lakeside camping at Bhandardara was super peaceful, and waking up to the Sahyadri views was stunning. The Sandhan Valley trek the next day was a bit challenging for a beginner, but the rappelling was incredibly thrilling! Simple, authentic local food made it even better.
