How to Reach

Direct flights are the most convenient way to reach Istanbul from India. IndiGo and Turkish Airlines operate daily direct flights from New Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul Airport (IST). The flight takes about 6.5 to 7 hours. Round-trip fares typically range from ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 depending on how early you book. From Bangalore, Chennai, or other cities, you will usually have a short layover in the Middle East (via Emirates, Qatar Airways, or Air Arabia) or connect through Delhi/Mumbai. Once you land at IST, the Havaist airport shuttle bus is the cheapest and most reliable way for groups to reach the city center (Taksim or Sultanahmet). It costs about ₹500 per person and has dedicated luggage space, making it much better than negotiating with airport taxis.
