How to Reach
Anjarle is best reached by road. It is about 230 km from Mumbai and 200 km from Pune. Drive via Mangaon -> Mandangad -> Dapoli -> Anjarle. The nearest railway station is Khed (approx 45 km away) on the Konkan Railway. From Khed or Dapoli, you can hire a local auto or take an MSRTC ST bus.

Is Anjarle beach safe for swimming?
Yes, the slope is gentle and the water is generally safe, but there are absolutely no lifeguards. Do not venture deep, and avoid the water entirely during the monsoon.
How do we see the turtle hatchings?
The Anjarle Turtle Festival runs from February to April. Local NGOs and the forest department manage it. You gather at the beach early morning or late evening to watch hatchlings be released. Do not use flashlights or touch the turtles.
Are there any beach shacks or cafes?
No. Anjarle is a traditional village. You will not find Goa-style shacks, cafes, or loud music. You eat at your homestay.
Can we get alcohol in Anjarle?
No, there are no wine shops in the village. The nearest place to buy alcohol is Dapoli (25 km away). Do not drink on the beach or create a nuisance, as locals are conservative.
How is the mobile network?
Terrible. Jio works in some patches, but Airtel and Vodafone are mostly dead. Download offline maps before crossing Dapoli.
Is it safe for a group of girls?
Very safe. The Konkan region is known for its hospitality and safety. Just dress modestly when walking through the village or visiting the temple.
