The nearest airports are Jamnagar (130 km) and Porbandar (100 km). Dwarka has its own railway station with direct trains from Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Delhi. Excellent AC sleeper buses run overnight from Ahmedabad (approx. 8-9 hours).

Can I take my phone inside the Dwarkadhish Temple?

Absolutely not. No phones, cameras, or smartwatches are allowed. There is a free cloakroom outside, but the queues are long. It's much smarter to leave your electronics at your hotel.

Is there a dress code for the temples?

Yes. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and mini-skirts. Men should wear full pants, and women should wear kurtas, sarees, or fully covered clothing. You will be denied entry if dressed inappropriately.

Is the scuba diving in Dwarka actually good?

It's great for beginners and the bragging rights of diving near the 'lost city'. Don't expect Maldives-level visibility, but spotting marine life and underwater rock formations here is a unique Indian experience.

How do I reach Bet Dwarka?

You need to drive or take an auto to Okha port (about 30 km from Dwarka city), and from there, take a 15-minute public ferry ride. The ferry costs around ₹50-100.

There is no official 'VIP ticket' counter like in Tirupati. However, local pandas (priests) will approach you offering fast-track entry for a 'donation'. It's a grey area; proceed with caution and negotiate firmly.

How far is Shivrajpur Beach and is it worth it?

It's about 12 km from Dwarka. Yes, it's absolutely worth it. It's a Blue Flag certified beach, meaning it is exceptionally clean, has good facilities, and the sunset views are stunning.

Is it strictly a dry state? Can I sneak in alcohol?

Gujarat is strictly a dry state. Do not try to smuggle alcohol; police checks on highways and at the railway station are common. Respect the local laws.
