Yes. You are provided with high-quality life jackets and helmets, and an experienced guide is in every raft. Non-swimmers can safely participate, though getting thrown into the water can be a shock!

Can I spot a black panther during the safari?

It is extremely rare. While the Kali Tiger Reserve is famous for melanistic leopards (black panthers), spotting one is purely based on luck. Don't bank your whole trip on it.

Do I need to book rafting in advance?

On regular weekends, you can usually book on the spot. However, during long weekends or peak season (Nov-Jan), pre-booking is absolutely necessary as slots fill up fast.

Are there leeches in Dandeli?

Yes, primarily from June to October. If you are trekking or walking in the forest during these months, wear closed shoes and apply salt, Dettol, or tobacco water to your legs.

Is Dandeli safe for a girls' trip?

Yes, it is very safe. The locals are hospitable, and reputable homestays and resorts are secure. Just avoid wandering deep into the forest buffer zones at night.
